Candidate Bio...

Betty Santoro has been a resident of Warrington for 23 years. She is a retired educator of 37
years and has served as a teacher, principal, director of special education/student services, and
director of elementary education. Betty earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from
Chestnut Hill College, a Master’s in Educational Administration from Villanova University, a
Doctorate in Education from Temple University, and a Superintendent’s Letter from Arcadia
University. She has worked in various school systems over the span of her career; parochial,
urban, and suburban.

Betty is running for school board because she cares deeply about education and believes every
student deserves to learn, thrive and succeed in nurturing, safe, and caring schools. As a retired
educator of over 30 years, Betty will bring her knowledge, expertise, and dedication to the
school board. Currently, there is not one educator sitting on the school board.

That needs to change.

As a school board director, Betty promises to refocus their energies on restoring Academic
Excellence to every classroom by ensuring students have the proper tools and resources to
learn. She will ensure all teachers and staff are well equipped with the resources, support, and
training to do their job well.

Betty will lead with transparency and accountability. As a school board director, she promises
not to be a “rubber stamp”, but to ask the tough questions, look for creative and innovative
ways to reduce spending, and lead with action, not just words.
