ROMAN SZEWCZUK
CBSD School Board Candidate for Region 3 (4 year term)
Candidate Bio...
Roman Szewczuk has been a Warrington Township resident since 1993. He and his wife of 42 years, Karen, have two daughters and two grandchildren who inspire his commitment to strong schools and safe communities.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Delaware Valley University and an MBA from LaSalle University. Roman spent 35 years at United Parcel Service in various leadership roles, including Training Manager, where he developed and implemented programs for both part-time and full-time employees. His passion for education led him to teach as an adjunct at Temple University before becoming a full-time Assistant Professor at Temple’s Fox School of Business, specializing in statistics, operations, and data management.

In recent years, Roman has seen an increasing number of college students underprepared for higher education—particularly over the last 4–5 years. Whether due to remote learning, lowered expectations, or a shift away from core academics, this trend has strengthened his resolve to improve K–12 education in the Central Bucks School District.

If elected, Roman will focus on:
-
High academic standards that prepare students for future success.
-
Safety and security, including a dedicated School Resource Officer (SRO) in every school.
-
Parental involvement through transparency, open dialogue, and meaningful input on educational and safety decisions.
-
Fiscal responsibility, ensuring tax dollars are spent wisely and on programs that directly impact student learning.

Roman is committed to accountability in all spending, especially as CBSD invests nearly half a billion dollars on facility upgrades despite declining enrollment. He supports improving schools, but insists these projects must be tightly managed and deliver value to taxpayers.

As a member of Community Advocates for Responsible Education, Roman is dedicated to Bringing Trust Back to our Students and Parents and ensuring that every decision puts students first.
